Your lack of response is sad

Cause, see, I expected at least some reaction to me speeding, but then I realised that I posted that on Friday when y'all are starting a weekend so no one reads my blog of course, but for me it's like a Wednesday so I hardly realised it was weekend time.

I had that ice cream bar for lunch again, which is better than the chex mix from yesterday I guess. Also had a Coke around 10:15, and that is how I eat when deployed. Although, if you've ever talked to me during my normal dinner breaks you'll know that I don't eat normal food at the Polynesian either.

I can has sleeps? I almost veered off the road this morning. Didn't die, don't worry, but I did turn up the music after that to try to wake up.

DOCTOR WHO IS TONIGHT BUT I HAVE TO GET UP EARLY BUT I WANT TO WATCH IT BUT WHAT AM I GOING TO DO MAYBE I'LL NAP BEFOREHAND SO I CAN WATCH IT TONIGHT.

Okay, have fun being not me.

Guess what my ringtone is.

Can you guess? Do you think you know? I bet Christine knows. Christine is probably sighing at me already. Here, have a proper introduction. TONIGHT, the room inspectors fail to show up, the microwave makes a funny noise, and I change my ringtone to the theme from Top Gear.

So, here's a question for you. So if I'm going 65 in a 45 speed limit zone, and then suddenly the speed limit is 35 because of some stupid curve in the road or something, how bad is it that I don't brake? See, cause, I don't want to waste the kinetic energy, so I just don't brake. I like driving early in the morning. I don't like being awake then, but I like driving when no one is on the roads. It's fun. On the way home from work however I was stuck behind someone going 55 in the 45 zone and I was like, WHY.

Ok, can this be my dinner?

Yes?

Mah roommate gave it to me and om nom nom.

Safari Canteen

I'm on break in the Animal Kingdom Lodge watching Mary Poppins. The wall is clearly very elaborately decorated: map of Africa, poster of elephants labeled Tenderness. Yay decorations!

Happy Easter y'all.

this car is going to get towed

It has one of those lock things on the tire and a million of those notices. It's just sitting in the community of my apartment. Nbd.

Works on both "Hot" and "Cold" Beverages

My question is, why is only the temperature hypothetical? Why not make the "Beverage" hypothetical as well. And then you can say that the mug "works" on these "hot" or "cold" "beverages" and call it a day.

I sold a Daily Mail to a charming Britishman today who, while paying, held up a dime and asked if it was worth 5 or 10. We usually don't sell out of the Daily Mail but because of the Royal wedding and all we are out. Also, probably they wanted to see if there was any mention of Doctor Who coming back I'm sure.

In other news, life sucks for everyone who has dead week, me, and I'm sure some other category of people that hate life right now. Notice how Sarah is exempt from the life suckiness and therefore we should smite her.

Oh, and happy Easter tomorrow. I'm not doing anything fun for Easter, I'm working and it's gonna suck. However, candy will be on sale after, so I'm looking forward to that.

I found a bow-tie

It was in the parking lot for Magic Kingdom Cast members. I feel bad for whoever lost it, I guess I'll just return it to costuming for them when I go next. Which should be tomorrow I guess.

Oh, and that's my new dress, which I wear with clam diggers. You know, pedal pushers? Capris, I wear them with capris.

Oh, and I bought a hat. A $140 sombrero actually. Saved $155 dollars today by buying that hat and some other stuff for 75% off. (Spent $50, don't worry, didn't pay $140 for the hat.)

Now I'm waiting for the bus again.

I talked to Christine as I was waiting for the bus after going to the Polynesian for Hula practice.

There are pirates getting off a bus in front of me.

And there's my bus.

Bye.

It's actually quite pretty here

It is not too hot outside today and I actually had to wear a jacket on the way to work this morning. I realised that the view from pretty much any walkway here is very lovely, and even inside we've got the waterfall and all the plants and stuff. I kind of want to take pictures for you and stuff but it might be awkward. I don't know. Maybe later.

Also as I have been straightening the same things over and over I want to buy some of them, even when it makes no sense. Like the baby onesie I want, the little boys' sweatshirt and the little girl dress. They're perfectly adorable, but why do I want them? I actually do own a sweatshirt, t-shirt and pair of boxers from my store, not to mention the Tangled set. There's another Tangled doll I want now. Sigh.

Also want a nap. I'm not good with mornings, damn 6:45 bus.

Looks like Sarah forgot her nametag

Sarah's nametag was on the mirror in the locker room. Seriously Sarah, how could you forget that? Jeez.

Coincidently, I got an email telling me that my roommate next semester is named "Sarah Anthony." Strange name. Anyway, there is no contact information for this person so I'm pretty sure she doesn't exist, and if she does, her hair is full of secrets.

I've been stocking all day, which is awesome because it requires minimal guest interaction and is all self motivated. When it was time for break I just set down my clipboard and left the stockroom, no telling people or waiting for lines to go down or nothing.

Also I fixed the timezone on here so all the posts show the actual time it was here when I posted them. Not that you care, but it's been bugging me.

So, I live in Florida, right?

See, yesterday one of my friends from church/orchestra commented on my facebook asking if facebook was lying about me living in Florida. I found this hilarious. Also, I am now wondering how long I could keep up a lie about where I'm living on facebook, because if I said I lived in Hawaii now so many people would believe it. I could post pictures of palm trees and be like, Hawaii is beautiful this time of year. Just saying.

Also, somehow this is the thing that made me realise that I LIVE in FLORIDA. How, before I could say I was born in Michigan and then we moved to Nebraska, I can now say, and I lived in Florida for 7 months. And don't try to tell me this doesn't count because I live here, I pay rent for an apartment here, I go grocery shopping here and get lost here, it totes counts.

In other news, I work at 3 today, but thanks to the bus schedule in the early afternoon I am on the bus I had to catch at 1:33 because we're going to sit at Vista for half an hour for funsies.

I do not have .gifs on my phone.

When in doubt, Batroll.

I was put in charge of locking up the stores and turning on the alarms upstairs today, and it was super frightening and I don't know if I did it right. I hope I did because if I didn't then my life sucks.

In other news, we got free gummi worms at work tonight. Also me and my friends Callen, Alli and Logan went to Denny's after work and I had a yummy sandwich and strawberry/peach smoothie. It was a welcome addition to my dinner of peanuts and water.

I want to drive fast cars. This is a good idea.

Universal Pictures

I told you I was going to put pictures up sometime. Here are pictures.

My cousins and their boyfriends/girlfriend

I realise you don't know who these people are, but three of them are my cousins and all of them are really amazing people who made me feel welcome and we had a blast at Universal Studios together.

Harry Potter World was crowded

Hogwarts is pretty.

Christine is buying me this lamp

Thom got beat up by Spiderman

Autumn and Thom are characters

They made me meet Spiderman, but I got a print of this cool comic book cover out of it

I haven't been to work in 5 days

See, I had two days off, then I was sick for two days. Is that haven't been to work in 4 days then since I had 4 days off, or 5 days since the day I worked was 5 days ago? Nuance. Point is, I have to work tonight and it sucks. Currently am waiting for the 5:00 bus.

I want to show you the fun stuff I did on my days off, but I've already put that on my computer and deleted it from my phone, so I'll post pictures later, but I went to Universal Studios with some family of mine that was here and it was really fun.

I also took some awkward video that I will have to do something with because yes. Don't yell at me for not vlogging, I have been in lots of pain and you should be nice to me.

Oh look, my bus.

It's hot. I haven't been outside in a couple of days. I don't like the outside. Also, I haven't bought groceries in over a week and my ice cream is gone, except for one Klondike bar. :(

Busssssss, I am on youuuuuu.

Ok, I will have to post those pictures some time, but you know me, that might not happen for awhile, or I could stay up and not sleep tonight. Who knows?

02 April 2011

I actually did cool things on my day off today

So I went on a backstage tour of The Great Movie Ride today and it was super awesome.
Our lovely group
I was on the wait list, but it worked out, and it was funny because I met some people when I was waiting to find out if there was room for me (the guy in the blue next to me and the girl next to him)  and they were super ready to stand up for me to get on the van if people showed up late to take my spot. They were super nice. Apparently everything was super.

So we had two guides, Jon and Thomas, and they were not only nice, but also attractive, which you know, was nice. I don't have any pictures of them in their original clothes, but we'll get to that later. So we walked through the ride and it was amazing.
Singing in the Milk
Mary Poppins is a Timelord
Everyone loves James Cagney
AND THEN, and then, obviously at this point we were in Gangster country, and then SUDDENLY JON SHOWS UP AND IS MOXY AND STEALS THE TOUR GROUP.

Jon made a wonderful Gangster
Jon stole the tour from Thomas and it was lovely
I hope you can tell that Jon was a very handsome Gangster, because he was
And then Jon finished the show and told us all about the scene and stuff, all nonchalant

So then we moved on, with Jon the Gangster as our guide, and entered the Western section of the ride where we stopped and took pictures and Jon told us about stuff.
I didn't get a picture with Jon in Western town, but my friend John did, so here they are
AND SUDDENLY, THOMAS TAKES OVER THE TOUR FROM JON, AND THEY HAD AN EPIC BATTLE OF EPICNESS. I MEAN, SERIOUSLY, THE BANDIT STOLE THE TOUR GROUP FROM THE GANGSTER AND I DIED OF AWESOME.
Look though, how amazing are they?
Best moment of my life
Previous picture is now my desktop. Cool story bro.

ANYWAY, moving on.
Okay, last one of epic showdown of epicness
BUT WHO GETS THIS PICTURE THOUGH
Previous picture here is of Jon the Gangster, Thomas the Bandit, and the Alien from the movie Alien. I do not like the Alien section of The Great Movie Ride. No I do not. I usually become Cousin It from the Addams Family, where my hair is all covering my face and I don't watch any of it, but we walked through it and they talked about it, and luckily the Aliens were not moving so I could be a little more brave. The ceiling Alien still freaked me out a little, and Jon and Thomas may have laughed at my fear a bit, but WHATEVER.
this is how much I care
We did go to the Pyramid place where the Gangster or Bandit goes and tries to steal the jewel and then the tour guide comes back, but seeing how both our tour guides were Gangsters and Bandits, they just competed for it.
Thomas "won" and therefore was the one that died, and it was great and can you tell that I really loved this tour?

And then other cool things.
Munchkin in a nest, don't ask questions
This is all of us on the Yellow and Red Brick Roads
But seriously, where does the Red Brick Road go? SEQUEL!

And, after the entire walk through, which doesn't end in Oz, but I don't care because I don't have other interesting pictures of the walk through, we headed to the backstage tunnels where we couldn't take pictures. We saw the tunnel the guides take from the Gangster place and the Bandit place to get to the Pyramid place, and we saw how the door rotates from behind it and they talked about their awesome guns that all the Gangsters and Bandits get. Don't worry, they fire blanks, but they are real guns.

When we walked backstage, at one point I was like, this smells like Alien, and John was like, yep, it's right behind this wall, hear the creepy cat? And I was like, yeah, I never watch it, but I know what it sounds, feels and smells like.

Oh, and I'm facebook friends with John, not Jon the tour guide, but John, the person in that one picture who was going to fight the people to let me go on the tour. I don't know if you can see his pictures, but he has an album of 200 pictures from this tour, some of which I stole and put here in this post.

I bought the movie Tangled, also Tangled action figure things that are adorbs the other day. Also, 12 Klondike bars, only 6 of which are still in existence.

For dinner tonight, before the tour I had 2 Klondike bars, and after the tour I had strawberries, shrimp and popcorn chicken. How classy am I. Answer: super classy. Sarah and I are going to have the most awesomeist kitchen filled with random, classy food next semester and it's going to be so great and I can't even.

01 April 2011

Rain makes me go WHYYYYY

It was raining today and I slept till forever but then I had to go to the store and I didn't want to leave the apartment. We did go to the store. I bought Klondike bars and popcorn chicken and animal shaped easy mac and milk and strawberries and frozen pizza and shrimp and shampoo and strawberry applesauce and chips and dulce de leche and tortillas. And ketchup.

I still haven't heard from the people that went to Ireland. They need to tell me everything about the trip and they haven't and rawr. (I mean, yes, I know you're alive, but that TOTES DOESN'T COUNT.)

So, my 21st birthday is the weekend after the first week of school in August, and on that weekend we are having a party folks.

Christine is telling me that I don't get home for 5 months, but here in my apartment we do math differently so we are done here in 4 months. April, May, June, July, and then the first 10 days of August that totes don't count because people usually take off the last week of their program so they can go to the parks.

I haven't been to the parks in ages. So much worrrrrrrrk. Life sucks.
