Also procrastinating on everything else. All I did today basically was vacuum and go to a Christmas program. I also ate food I suppose, and did some dishes. I also played Pokemon because I'm a little bit obsessed. It's like, I'm unemployed still, better catch'em all.

I may actually do a song by song commentary of Midnight Memories as soon as I get it, but, well, I plan things and then I go, eh, effort, I already wrote something else today can't write another thing. Writing is hard. It's like, if I could draw the ideas would come out clearer. That makes sense...

Waiting for a Phone Call

I just called a company back that called me yesterday and they were all, can we call you back in just a sec, and I was all, of course, but now I'm all, sitting here waiting for my phone to ring. That is the most stressful, probably even for people who aren't afraid of phones.

Of course only companies in Omaha call me back, no one in Lincoln has gotten back to me but this is the second Omaha company, and again, not sure if I actually want this job, just applied. That's how I ended up turning down the last one in Omaha. Most of the Lincoln ones actually looked good, this one is just something I know I can do but the posting doesn't even say the salary. I CAN'T MAKE DECISIONS WITHOUT BEING FULLY INFORMED.

I've been sending her pictures and fun stories because I am delightful, but she hasn't responded in several days.

1. She could not have Internet because they are in Germany.
2. She might be sick and unable to form coherent things to say to me.
3. What if she hates me and/or is kidnapped never to be seen again.

I just, why, life

I forgot to get up this morning. I don't mean I slept in or ignored my alarm, I mean I just forgot to get up and then it was 1 and my dad was home and he was all, 'did you get a good night's sleep?' and I was all, no, actually, last night was horrible. I heard him get up and treadmill it up and go to work and then I continued to not be able to sleep well.

I don't really want to go to the party tonight. I'm sure it'll be fun once we're there and I'm with friends, and it will be good to do something not depressing.

I applied to volunteer three different places, wait listed for one and haven't heard back from the other 2. It's a sad day when I'm worried about being accepted as a volunteer. Still unemployed.

Knitting complete

Finally finished my scarf made of things I like that I started last winter. Didn't work on it when it was hot because, summer, knitting, yarn, not great combination.

So, the things in the scarf include the One Ring, Lumpy Space Princess, sheep, some TARDIS', both Slytherin and Gryffindor's symbols, tumblr, Marvel's SHIELD, dinosaurs, elephants, giraffes, music and Batman. 

CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW GOING DOWNTOWN FOR LIKE AN HOUR YESTERDAY MADE ME SUPER ANTISOCIAL AND EMOTIONALLY DRAINED TODAY. I can't  handle things.

I am a chef

I am in charge of dinner one day a week, cause see, living at home, stealing food from my parents, makes sense I have to help with some dinners. ANYWAY, I had no ideas for today so I made a recipe I found on Pinterest for braided garlic spaghetti bread. There's a bunch of cheese in there and it's great. 

So basically, winner winner garlic cheesy spaghetti bread dinner. 

Day Whatever

I forgot what day it was. Did I write yesterday? I could look on the front page of this blog, sure, but now I'm already writing so you're just going to have to deal with my confusion. Parents are coming home today anyway so it doesn't matter anymore.

I've been watching a lot of Dragnet and Animaniacs. Can't bring myself to start the new season of Perception or catch up on any of the current shows that I know I like, but Sgt. Friday and Officer Gannon are great and I want to watch this all the time. Would you believe, there's even an episode of Supernatural that I haven't seen?

I've been running around the house trying to make sure everything is done and nice for when my mom comes home. What's going to happen is I'm going to think everything is done and then she's going to ask an innocent question about something I was supposed to do but forgot about. I can see it now. Eh, I can blame everything on the fact they left me with a broken dishwasher full of dishes.

Ok ok ok, so, I have 2 NaNoWriMos started and abandoned because, hey, procrastinator, but I had a thought about one of them so I can improve and add to it, but seriously, I'll never be able to write a book in a month. November can suck it.

And by that I mean, 1 gnomes, and 2 the trailer for season three of Sherlock is out.

Oh oh oh you know what show is the best though? The Waltons. They have a peacock named Rover and a peahen named Ruby and they're just a great family. CHRISTINE you might like it don't even. They're all bros and they help each other out all the time.

Robin Year One: a comic book interpreted by me

This is my finished Robin Year One paper art project thing. I never had a good name for it, but It looks awesome in real life with all the layers, and it totally tells the story of their worries and Robin almost dying and it's pretty great.

I found as I was doing it that I had as much fun with the pieces I cut out as I did the parts I left in. It started small.

I mean, this guy's face is just amazing, so when I added the BLAM!s to his panel it was instantly better. Then I got more creative with the putting pieces together.

I honestly don't know, but it makes me laugh.

And then finally, I started making entire pages.

And that's how my day has been going so far, you know, once I came inside from being the outdoor person I am / am forced to be when things need painting and stuff.

Day 4

Ok so it might be 4 am or whatever but I was watching lame tv and cutting up a comic book.

Cold Case has odd songs play at the end for the sad wrap up and re-reveal of what the people looked like when the crime actually happened. Currently: Man in the Mirror.

At this point I think I've forgotten how to go to bed. You know how it gets so late that you consider being awake instead. oooo Angel is on. It's the strange time period though.

Day 3

First of all, why is my dog bugging me? I fed her hours ago and she won't go outside and I told her, the parents are coming back next week, Jeez.

I'm watching Top Gear. I meant to leave the house today and get some things done so I could cross them off my list, but I stayed home, watched some YouTube, talked to my dog, drank a bottle of wine.

Tomorrow it won't be raining so I will totally leave the house and get things done. It didn't help that I slipped on the wet steps and hurt my tailbone first thing today. Yeah, tomorrow, painting, shopping, mowing, getting shit done.

I totally did things today too though, started on the dishes in the broken dishwasher. There isn't enough room in the dish drainer for all of them so I still have some to do, but hey I have plates now.

Day 2

I'm quite upset I have to wait a whole week before shark week. Sure, yeah, there are other things to watch, but sharks man.

I still don't have a job

Job searching is the most depressing, and waiting after applying is the worst. Especially when, you know, I have no idea what I'm doing and what I want. Know what I'm passionate about? TV and movies and Internet culture. Know what kind of jobs are not local and I don't have qualifications for? Television, movies and Internet geekery. I've applied for some criminal justice and psychology related things that look interesting, but I feel like my qualifications are a stretch and I would only be their last resort. I'M DELIGHTFUL, YOU WANT TO HIRE ME, REALLY.

Office Depot has a glorious One Direction anti-bullying display thing. It was exciting. Christine, have you recovered?

So, Insanity, Right?

I was sitting by the lake, staring at the water thinking about how I wish I was home but it was still pretty and trying to ignore the conversation, when I was dragged into the conversation and forced to pay attention.

First of all, no, I don't want to be set up with my great uncle's friend who goes to Eastern Michigan. Being single is FINE thank you very much grandpa.

Secondly, you know how on television they show insane people looking at a normal place and then they flash to a crazy perspective of what they see as a possibility, and then it goes back to normal? Yes, that is what I saw. I saw flashes of what our dinner would look like if I said what I was thinking, turns out silence is golden for peacekeeping.

How many worse things are there than being asked about your life and genuinely not knowing the answer? What do I want in a job? What kind of thing am I looking for? The only question that matters at all is why the hell has another year gone by where I have not been at SDCC, I mean seriously, how hard is it to get to San Diego for a week?

I haven't been doing a lot of writing because I get tired of writing after all the job applications and cover letters. They're just the worst.

   I've spent a lot of time recently "watching" youtube videos of LetsPlay, subsection of RoosterTeeth and amazing group of video game playing idiots. THAT's my ideal job. They get paid to play those games. Also come up with show ideas and produce and edit them and stuff, but I don't watch those because I basically only like them for their idiocy and greatness not their actual content. I've also knitted a whole bunch and recently I've been just looking at all my Likes on tumblr. Like half of them are from Band of Brothers. 10% make me sad, and then the last 40% are just funny things I don't reblog because I'm not sure my friends would find them funny. Not that that ever stops me in other endeavors, but sometimes I just don't reblog the compilation of British people touching their nose and pointing because I need to hoard it forever.

In other news, whatever it is that I'm coughing up, it's gross and I do not approve. Don't get sick, boys and girls. Also, you know you've blown your nose too much recently when a kleenex with blood in it does not surprise you.

The let's play of Minecraft makes me want to play Minecraft though. Looks cool. Probably more fun with friends though, seeing how the parts I love are when they play pranks on each other. They built a house with lava in the ceiling so that when their friend removed an odd block the house filled with lava and burnt to the ground. Another house, they set up blocks of water in the ceiling so that when they flipped a switch the house flooded and it was great. And the entire city is built on top of layers of dynamite so randomly their whole place explodes.

I get passionate about things for temporary periods of time, and apparently these guys playing video games is my current obsession. It's a bit more manageable than the Band of Brothers one was, THEY'RE JUST SUCH GREAT BROS, IT MAKES ME WANT TO CALL THEM NAMES.

Can I stay unemployed forever? That sounds great. I don't want to work, sounds responsible and stuff. Though, if I don't get the one job I've applied for I'm going to probably freak out a bit because I haven't really thought about where else I want to work. I don't even know if I WANT to work there, I just know I need a job and it's not a bad place and stuff.

I got bored of knitting today and remembered that I want to get back to writing, but also I need to write thank yous for graduation and also there are tons of books I have started or have been meaning to read. I also enjoy sleeping. There isn't enough time for all this laziness. My only excuse for now is that I mostly feel like dying because breathing is hard and everything aches. The medicine that helps me feel better tastes like horrible horrible blueberries that are trying to poison me. Why does medicine always taste like it's trying to kill you?

So, graduation ceremony was cancelled and there was a big hullabaloo at the Hawks Center where we went to go pick up the diplomas and could take pictures by big red N signs. yay. I mean, it was extremely cold, windy and miserable out, so it was probably good we did not have graduation. We felt bad for Ben Nelson though, all ready to give a speech and no one came.

I felt my lovely dress was underused though. You could barely see it with the graduation gown on, and then when we went out to lunch it was cold there so I kept on my coat. I need to go to more fancy parties so I can wear my other new dress as well. We should have a tea party.

CHRISTINE: Lucky's half birthday is when I'm house sitting so I promised her I'd invite you for a birthday party to make up for the parents missing it. She's excited to see you.

The new Doctor Who was a good one. Written by Mark Gatiss, lovely references, good characters, smart plot, good episode. Way to be, show.

 In my head there were more swear words mixed in there, but we're playing it cool for the interwebs.

 It'd be exciting, except it's outside in the cold and rain and it's going to be hectic and there's no assigned seating cause we're not lining up and walking in alphabetical order so I don't know who I'm going to sit by and it's going to take forever. I'm not freaking out. I wrote a note to my dad for tomorrow saying that we're going to be flexible wexible, so WE'RE GOING TO BE FLEXIBLE OKAY. I'm fine. Look at me, you can't see me, but I'm fine.

I have a really fancy dress that I like a lot so that's exciting. Have to wear a coat under my grad gown thing, but hey, flexible. Plus, coat means pockets for my phone. Boom, problem solved.

I wish graduating didn't make people talk about jobs and careers and goals and such so much. The only things I like are fictional, dammit. Even real jobs, I only like them fictionally. Literally took my grandparents 3 minutes after walking in the door to ask me what I was doing after graduation. And then I didn't know how to explain a potential job not in my degree that I might get in a few months cause it's a concept they found difficult to grasp. Either I went to college and got a job because of it or I didn't. Basically I'm a failure.

It think tigers are my favorite big cat. I mean, leopards are cool and all, but tigers, man. The white ones, I think they're Siberian, they look like they'd be badass after they got covered in blood, but also they're cute.

Demons Just Want To Have Fun

Become a demon, they said, we have more fun, they said. Of course it didn't hurt that they're immortal and have a support network that allows them to never work another day of their lives, but immortality comes with a price. All demons have to be blonde. Oh, and they lose their souls and are damned for all eternity, but mostly the blonde thing, at least in her mind.

She didn't mind the eternity thing, not yet: two years is hardly an eternity, even if she was blonde.

They hadn't told her about that, the bastards. But what did she expect from demons?

She had expected the truth. They had told her the truth about everything else: her past, her present, and presumably, her future.

The thing about demons is that they aren't who you expect them to be. They're not the cheerleaders that make your life miserable. They're not the customer service people leading you in bureaucratic circles and mocking you when they think they're on mute. They're not even your boss who makes you come in on weekends to finish projects that they won't look at for another month or two. No, demons are much smarter than all that.

The man who holds the door open for you when you are too far behind, making you run because you feel bad he has been standing there for thirty whole seconds, and then graciously bowing his head as you apologize. You will think about that moment for much too long. That's one of them.

The person that glares at you suspiciously after you smiled and waved at their child? They know you were being friendly, but now they've succeeded in making you paranoid and afraid of small children in public places.

The woman in the grocery store that tells you to go ahead of her in line because you have fewer items, but then something mysteriously is missing a tag and the price check takes longer than her transaction ever could have. That's a particularly devious demon.

 Her hobby was much simpler than all of this. She worked at various call centers over time, sometimes doing her job by the book, interrupting family dinners and afternoon naps, and sometimes breaking down crying when the person sounded particularly vulnerable to sympathy. When those calls got recorded and reviewed she got fired, but she didn't care, she just got a new job.

Of course, she could never see her family again after becoming a demon. Not that it was dangerous or anything, but they would never believe she would willingly have dyed her hair. But she didn't mind, she could still call them during family dinners and be yelled at to be taken off the call list. In many ways not much had changed.

While not a complete short story, this was a short universe I needed to get out of my head and am now reconsidering the idea of publishing on my blog. But I'm just going to hit Publish and then I won't have to worry about it anymore. It will be your problem.

Sometimes I am unobservant

I should totally be working on my midterm paper due tomorrow, but I'm in the library and was amazed by the bookcases being colorful. I'm sure they were equally as colorful previously, but they delight me.

When I finish tests early I tend to worry

I'm sitting outside some sort of engineering class and I could've sworn I heard "frequency is a bitch" in the lecture, but as he moved on I realised he said "pitch" and then was saddened.

I should currently be reading for my next class, or studying for the test after that, or writing my paper due tonight, but I find it hard to do so when normally my first class wouldn't be over yet. Sure, I could use the extra time to my advantage, but all I'm thinking about is how I'm going to be sitting in this hallway for 2 1/2 hours.

Synchronized diving is cool, we should all do that

I am an Olympic artist

 I drew this while watching the men's synchronized springboard diving tonight. I can tell you are stunned by my artistic talent with Paint.

Now Bob Costas is talking about how Great Britain hasn't won enough medals. They're doing fine guys, don't be mean to Britain.

What's your least favorite part of the Olympics? Mine is the commercials that have the dramatic music and are like, "he can't change Washington, because he is Washington." I don't know who that was for, kind of makes me feel like the commercial didn't fulfill its purpose.

I've made a lot of knitting progress while watching sports that I suddenly care about for a few weeks and will never watch for the next four years. Beach volleyball looks cold there.

I am unexpectedly watching water polo

I love the Olympics. You get to watch sports and things while faceless voices tell you everything you need to know about the teams and the sport and rules, and then later you repeat everything you heard to other people, who heard the exact same information, and yet you both get to pretend to be experts in all the Olympic events.

For instance, I don't know which of the gymnastic teams are expected to win, but now I know that Australia is really good and they are generally weak on the uneven bars, but they have one girl on the team mainly there because she  has clean lines, which is what judges look for. NO IDEA WHAT ALL THAT MEANS FOR MEDALS because, who knows what the preliminaries actually mean.

Oh and I watched the men's swimming relay preliminary, and then was surprised after that that the four swimmers who qualified would not swim the relay in the finals. I'm sure a real swimming fan would KNOW these things.

I am still watching water polo. I heard the words "power play" and now I'm just imagining hockey because that's the only context I've heard that phrase before. I still don't know the rules to this game. Is this deep water? How can they really tell who's on their team? Has any one ever pulled the swimsuit off an opposing team member during a water polo game?

I may genuinely be going insane

I watched an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, right, and then while I was waiting for the next one to load I started reading a Doctor Who book, the King's Dragon, and then when I went back to watching Avatar I was super confused as to why Amy and Rory were not there being sassy.

THEY'RE TOTALLY DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEDIA, I should be able to tell reading a book apart from watching a cartoon.

Oh, and I answered the phone many times today without telling you how scary it was.

This one lady called and asked for some dude whose name I do not know, and therefore he does not work there because I know everyone who works with me; most of them are related to me. I asked her to repeat the name, because I wanted to be sure, right, and then told her that there was no one there by that name and she possibly had the wrong number AND SHE GOT SO AFFRONTED WITH ME and was like "This is [Company where I am working], right?" and I was all, "let me connect you to Jane, hold please." All Jane did was assure her that no one by that name worked there and re-suggest that she had the wrong number.

Now I'm not so sure I used the word affronted properly in that paragraph. You know what I mean, even if the words are improperly used.

OK, I had a weird revelation about how writing things is like reading, only you get to create the entire world instead of borrow from someone else's, so then you can change it if something seems wrong, like a dream. I mean, it's obvious that's what writing is, but in terms of people writing fanfiction, they just want something in an existing fictional universe to have been written differently, or for there to be more of it, so they write it and it seems more true than if they just have a headcanon. But ALL writing is that, and that just amazes me.

I need to buy fruit and milk, but because those are the only two things on my grocery list, and technically I have milk, just I don't like it cause it's 2%, so I really only need fruit, and let's be honest, I don't really need fruit, looks like I'm not going to the store.

That was a run on sentence. It kind of bothers me, but instead of figuring out where it went downhill I'm just going to tell you that it is bad and assure you that if I was writing a paper I would've written that much better.

Oh, but I'm running low on Dr. Pepper, so I'll have to go to the store soon, don't worry.

I am totally working, but my Spider Solitaire stats are really sad

I win a little less than half of my Spider Solitaire games, 48%. How sad is that. I think I've gotten bored of it and have stopped trying to think ahead, because it used to be about 60%.

I've done a bunch of work today, but also had a lot of time OH MY GOD THE PHONE IS RINGING

I answered the phone. Don't worry. I was going to say that I had a lot of time to do random stuff online or something, but then the phone rang and I panicked.

I just did an entire order start to finish, from answering the goddamn phone to all the goddamn scary things while on the phone and I ran the credit card and I emailed him the paid invoice and I printed out the UPS label and packaged it up and it's READY TO BE SHIPPED TOMORROW GODDAMMIT. I'm fine.

Don't get me wrong, I do a lot of orders throughout the day, but usually they come from the website and I just print out the orders and do a bunch at a time and there are no phones involved.

Someone just called to ask if the Chlorine Test Strips were really 29.95 like the website said, and then when I assured him they were, he was like "are you sure?" Yes, yes I was sure. And then he mumbled something about 30 cents per strip and hung up. Oh, he wanted to know the model number too for some reason. I don't even know what that means. The Caloosahatchee River is a real place, and a teen got his arm bitten off by an alligator. My favorite part of the article is that they caught and killed the alligator responsible, as though that particular alligator is more of a dangerous alligator than any other alligator that has not yet eaten someone's arm. I don't know, are alligators one of the animals that can develop a taste for human after they've eaten it? I didn't think so, cause they don't often bite humans.

It's lunchtime now, but Steve has come to the office and Jane is dealing with him and is on the phone with the computer people so I feel like I need to stay at the front desk. It's just me and Jane in the office today. I'm answering the phone now guys. I answer the goddamn phone. Most of the time I just put them on hold for Jane, but it has been my cousin before, and once it was my Grammy inviting me to dinner tomorrow.

Manda's moving to New Jersey before I move back to Nebraska, so I'm not going to see her for awhile. And then when I get back to Lincoln Christine and Lindy will be all moved into our apartment and I'm going to be like WHAT IS MOVING. Oh god. (secretly mad at them for making me move again) (not actually mad)

Night time driving is interesting

First of all, driving on a road, 55 mph, right? And the road has bumps you know, regularly, as the sections of the road make a slight noise when you drive over them. Suddenly, my cd is playing the Road Runner theme, and the bumps are EXACTLY IN SYNC WITH THE BEAT OF THE THEME and it stayed like that the entire song. So impressed with the universe right then.

Second, driving on a dark road, seeing a single flashing red light in the distance but not knowing how far away it is or what it signifies is really creepy. It was a red flashy thing at a four way stop, which I knew was there but didn't realise there was a light for it.

And thirdly, singing along with Josh Grobin and also Britney Spears while driving alone at night on a largely empty road in the country is super fun.

Also, I like sushi. Had it today. They didn't have Dr. Pepper, but the sushi was good nonetheless.

I feel like I'm dying

Ever since I got home and ate dinner I've been holed up in my room. Not hiding exactly, just, not being super sociable. At all sociable. I said hi to the cat that hates me, that totally counts. She ran and hid, because I am a scary person and I have stolen her room.

AND NOW PIT IS GONNA DIE AND PIGGY IS SO SAD. Pit and Piggy are strange nicknames for Chinese warriors. I kind of wish I had the first half to this movie. Two of my favorite parts are on that half. Sigh.

I have been planning on going to a movie tomorrow morning for a whole week. Now I'm like NEVER LEAVING THIS ROOM but that's not a good plan at all.

Living dangerously

I was walking down the stairs carrying dishes in both hands, and I don't turn on any lights because lights are difficult, also, don't know where the switches are, when I thought that if I were to trip and fall down the stairs it would be sad cause I'd like wake up in the morning late for work, and I might break the dishes, and what if I tripped over the cat and hurt it, right? But then I realised that the thing I would be most sad about is that I have an episode of Supernatural loading on my computer on hulu, and those things take awhile to buffer, and I'd not be able to watch it if I fell on the stairs and lied there unconscious for the night.

I'm only 1.5 episodes behind in Supernatural now.

I don't wanna go to work tomorrow. I sense this might become a recurring theme.

I don't want to

I have to go to work at 8:30 tomorrow. We went to see the office today, make sure I knew where it is and stuff. My uncle gave us a tour, and the room that he said I might be in doesn't have a desk in it, but he said they would get one. Sounds like they don't know exactly what I'll be doing, but I'm going to be trained in lots of things sounds like. My aunt, who is going to be training me, wasn't there today.

IT'S JUST SO NERVE WRACKING IS ALL.

I haven't watched the LAST THREE EPISODES of Supernatural, nor the season finale of Once Upon a Time or Fringe or I'm sure other shows, but the point is I'M SO BEHIND ON TELEVISION I WANT TO DIE.

But I set up wifi in this house, so that's good now. I'm laying in bed on my computer using the internet, haven't been able to do that in a long while now.

I'm standing on a glacier

Alaska was 2 hours earlier than Nebraska, and now I'm in Michigan which is one hour later, so I lost three hours in the last few days. Sigh. And I have to get up in the morning early so I have to go to bed even though I don't get tired till later.

I kind of want to go to bed, but it's so tall, and I also am like, but, I could just write this and then it'd be done.

BUT THEN, I remembered fucking Thursday, and how I have a test taht I'm going to fail and how C is due Friday and how I probably failed my English paper and then the paper I'm writing now is for my Crim class and ALL MY CLASSES ARE GOING TO BE FAILED AND I AM A FAILURE AND OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO BE LIVING IN MICHIGAN FOR THE SUMMER.

Those are not all related ideas. I am panicking a lot more than I need to about all the things. It is because I am ridiculous also, not sleeping.

And there are so many things in the future that I am looking forward to, I just can't think about them and not panic. Like, celebrating Manda's birthday, funtimes, going to Omaha and getting people to buy me food also Berkshire Hathaway stuff or whatever, funtimes, going on a fucking cruise to Alaska, awesomefuntimes probably, going on a helicopter in Alaska, supercoldfuntimes. See, lots of fun times, but before them, all of the panic and a little bit of the shame/fear that I did super poorly in all of my classes.

I was doing so well

I have most of my paper done. I have a whole bunch of notes on what I need to say, I have at least half the paper in actual, formal, typed up paragraph form, I have  some ideas started being typed and then left there as paragraph fragments to be picked up and combined and shit.

But now I'm cold and hungry and I don't want to and Tumblr's dead and I have 5 songs on repeat on my iTunes and I don't remember how to things and my hair is suddenly very fascinating how it is able to do things when it is wet and then it dried and stayed that way and now I want to sleep with a pencil in my hair so I can wear it like this, but then I would probably stab myself with it and Christine would be mad that I killed myself with a pencil in my sleep.

Well, maybe someone else would care. I don't know, I would be dead in this scenario.

Oh god I cannot do... things

If I wasn't so afraid of things, and people, and talking, and if I was funny, I just really want to be a comedian.

I've attempted to french braid my hair. My hair is not cooperative. It was ok for the first minute, but now it's all, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS and decided to become a weird mess of not a french braid.

I'm writing in Written? Kitten!, a website, writtenkitten.net, that counts your words and then give you  a kitten once you've reached 100 or whatever, but I have yet to reach 100, so I don't even know what the kitten looks like. Also I don't want to write more words.

I've left this open for a long time, so I have written more words now. There is now a picture of a kitty next to my paragraphs of words. I'm sad that when I rolled over to 200 it was just a different kitten instead of 2 kittens. I was hoping for a whole bunch of kittens all over the page by the time I was done.

I'm knitting, right, one two three, one two three, over and over, and then I'm like, one two three four five six, oh wait, what am I counting to? Three. Right. Missed it. Damn.

I hope this doesn't mean that all the productive things I've actually done today have been wrong and stuff, because my brain doesn't work.

First of all, I'd just like to say that I didn't recognise the name Niall to be a real thing until about two weeks ago, but now I learn that an actor I have known for awhile is named Niall Matter and he's going to be on Primeval, which of course means I'm going to have to start watching it again. And then I will inevitably stop, again, like every other time I have randomly started watching Primeval because I thought I could handle it. I can't. No idea why, I don't even hate it, I just can't watch it even though I really like the actors and characters and dinosaurs.

The other Niall, of course, being from One Direction. He's Irish.

It's not that I hate Rome, I just hold a grudge against their history.

There are free root beer floats in Oldfather tomorrow (today) from 12-2, so if this gets read before then and we're not planning on going to get free root beer floats, WHY NOT, US?

How great would it be to be a British comedian though? They get to do all sorts of sketches, and panel shows with other comedians where they go on tangents and ignore the point of the show, and then they do guest spots on British shows like Doctor Who and stuff and are generally hilarious.

I keep knitting, and it's really disturbing to me every time I finish a row I have to flip the ENTIRE thing. It makes me want to try to knit backwards so I don't have to move it.

I want to read Catching Fire, again, even though I just read Catching Fire and Mockingjay this past Saturday through Monday.

I got two hours of sleep last night

When I was bringing my groceries and things in from the parking lot I dropped all my groceries all in the foyer of the Courtyards and my container of ham from Easter opened and fell onto the mat but I still ate it for dinner because I decided that it probably won't kill me. If it does, less problems for me.

My lungs hurt. I would say my stomach, but my stomach is not on both sides of my ribcage separated by an area that is impervious to pain. MY LUNGS HAVE A STOMACH ACHE. I don't understand.

I stopped watching the show Grimm earlier this year because it was really dark and not interesting enough, but then I decided, why the hell not, so now I'm watching again. I love how Nick hides his friendship with Monroe and it's like he's covering up an affair but really they just aren't supposed to know each other. They even have scenes where Nick's on the phone and you assume the conversation was with his girlfriend, but then it cuts to him eating dinner with Monroe and it's so great and none of this makes any sense. Sure, every once in awhile there's something really gross that makes me hide all the tabs so I don't have to look at the grossocity of it all, but small price to pay. At least I haven't made the classic Fringe/Bones mistake of eating while watching it.

The more I have to do, the less I want to do

And then I feel like a horrible person that doesn't do anything, and then I continue to not do anything. And then I feel worse, and do less.

Right now I'm just freaking out about Being Human (UK) because I think next week is the season finale and I'm not ready and I just spent the last hour watching this last episode and going "Hal, baby, no, Hal, oh Hal, don't do it. Hal, don't be an idiot. Hal. Oh Hal." And then weeping dramatically into my pillow.

So maybe I'm a drama queen, what of it?

Apparently this is what I do now. I watch emotionally scarring things and then feel empty inside and then watch some more traumatising things and then weep forever and then watch Pride & Prejudice. Pride & Prejudice always seems to be involved. For awhile there it was Secondhand Lions, but then it went back to Pride & Prejudice. There was also an Inception period, and a Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy period. Not to mention the Batman Era. Thing about the Batman Era, it was both the emotionally scarring thing and the post emotionally scarring thing, so it isn't exactly the same as the Benedict Cumberbatch All The Sads leading to Pride & Prejudice.

AND NOW I'VE GONE AND WATCHED INSEPARABLE AGAIN, JERKS. I don't know who I'm blaming. Blame my parents, they left me here.

When does Supernatural come back? The 16th, fuck no. Fuck that shit. If a narrator never says his/her gender, do I have to keep repeating "the narrator, the narrator?" Can I call the narrator "it" sometimes? Is that disrespectful? Like if you call your baby an it before you know it's gender? Is that bad? Babies, oh god, hormones, bro, babies, you don't understand bro, babies.

I stopped working on this goddamn paper because I have to go to the bathroom, but I don't want to get up because I like sitting down, but I can't work on the paper organizing while I'm distracted by having to go to the bathroom, so I'm not doing anything, except wanting to sing along with this recording of a live Mountain Goats concert event thing. Some of these songs I even know when the audience goes WOOT or like, yells out names of songs that they want to be played but then aren't. Or like, on The Monkey Song, it takes a few bars before they realise what song it is and then once they do they freak out a ton. I mean, yeah, it's the Monkey Song, so I would too, because there's a monkey in the basement.

Certainly not in NuWho. What, like, Adric and Nyssa? Fifth Doctor? Is that seriously the last time there was a companion from a different planet? I don't know, last one I remember off the top of my head. Oh, and that chameleon robot guy thing... didn't actually watch that I don't think. We could count Jamie, the Second Doctor's companion who is from the past, since the Sixth Doctor ran into him in the Two Doctors. In conclusion, Jamie was the bestest.

Why do I always end up watching movies that aren't even on my list of things I want to watch? Every time. I make these lists so that I remember that these are things people talk about or that look good, but then when I go to watch things it's something random that I saw one reference to once so I decide to watch it. For Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day it was the quote about needing the ice pick for murder, not ice.

SIMILARLY, not really but it reminded me, I was talking to a girl in my English class, because I do that, I'm sociable, and we were talking about the story, and I told her that the moment where the woman in the story went to the store to buy arsenic was the moment when I decided I liked the story because I happen to love arsenic. She thought she had misheard me, because she thought I said that I loved arsenic, and I do. I happen to really like arsenic, it's my fave.

There were surprise dinner guests tonight and I had a panic attack and it was scary and there wasn't enough food so my mom didn't even get a cheeseburger and we were planning on eating banana bread, right, but then it was like, oh, but more people, so also chips and salsa and guacamole and apple sauce. And the kid mixed root beer with milk. And then drank it. Why the hell.

All I want from life is a job where I work like 9-5 and get weekends off and can sit at home and be eccentric most of the time and don't have to have people over if I don't want to but then can have people over that I like but have the ability to decide which ones come over.

I don't know what is more insane though, the places Hogan's Heroes decides to put the laugh track, or me talking to it, telling it that nothing funny has happened. How many Tumblr tabs am I allowed to have open?

Because everytime I refresh and there's nothing new I tend to hit command+T and hit my tumblr bookmark, meaning I always have at least 3 tumblr tabs open before I realise it and close the extra ones.

I'm watching Third Star and it's so sad and happy and sad and Benedict Cumberbatch and fireworks and third star to the right and straight on till morning and sad. That doesn't really explain what it is at all, but I've never been good at explanations for things I'm emotional about. Go ahead, ask me what happens in Supernatural. I'm rewatching it. Because for most of the episode, The Reichenbach Fall is just a lovely episode full of loveliness and fun and Sherlock and John being amazing and Moriarty being badass and it's generally great, but then I remember that I have to wait for freaking ever for the return and all my emotions ALL MY EMOTIONS. Goddammit Benedict and Martin, why do you have to be in such high demand that we don't even know when they could film series 3?

School started guys

I've been busy.

Mostly I've been busy freaking out and becoming super depressed. Observe:

Would you believe I've never been to a bar.

Like, an actual bar? Yeah, true story. (I'm totally not counting the Starlight Lounge because that is a lounge and not a bar atmosphere. Or Applebee's because restaurant, or Buffalo Wild Wings because also restaurant. Oh god I want Buffalo Wild Wings now.) Also, even the least painful of holidays make me want to drink.

Also, I am now knitting a real thing. Two real things, but only one is something I picked out and started and stuff. I tend to sit in bed and knit while watching Hogan's Heroes for hours. It is not conducive to waking up in the morning when my family wants to do things.

Did you know that large quantities of nutmeg have a hallucinatory effect? Apparently it's a very bad trip, but it makes me laugh because nutmeg. Heh.

I just remembered something horrifying

Although Christmas break is going to be great and a break and Christmas, THERE WILL NOT BE DR PEPPER, BECAUSE WE DON'T GENERALLY KEEP POP IN THE HOUSE.

Oh my god what is wrong with me

A thing fell of the table here by the couch and I almost dropped my computer. I don't know why I suck so much.

Leverage is great. Also, Leverage is great. Once Upon a Time is a heartbreaker, but Leverage will never let me down.

I'm making a bracelet and it's all, ooo, and then it's all, so many strings, and then it's all, pretty, and then it's going to be all WHAT THEY'RE IN A DIFFERENT ORDER I DON'T KNOW HOW TO THINGS. But I haven't got to that part yet so yeah.

I think I've given up on doing things. I should go to bed, like, now, because it's like, midnight, but I can't because Dinosaur Comics.

My favorite is when like, you're fighting someone, and they say "Is that the best you've got?" and then you kill them. It's like, yeah bitches, that's the best I've got.

We're watching The Muppet Christmas Carol

Rizzo was all, what time is it? and Gonzo was all, it's two o'clock, and Rizzo was like, is it too early for breakfast? and Gonzo was like, yes, so Rizzo was all, good, time for supper.

That's me, if it's too early for breakfast than you can still eat supper. Always.

The Muppet Movie was the bestest ever and I loves it. This is not The Muppet Movie, but it's still pretty good.

My blog tells me what tags I've used in the past, and apparently one of them is HUNTS IRRIGATION. I have no idea what that means. When did I use that and in what context? I'll have to look, but for now I'm just going to say how weird is it that HUNTS IRRIGATION is a tag.

The Muppet Christmas Carol is on The Hub and there was a commercial for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic earlier.

Christmas movie season now though

I am so bored

I am all caught up on Tumblr and I just refreshed and nothing new showed up so I opened a new tab and automatically hit my Tumblr bookmark. That so helps, having two Tumblr tabs open with nothing to look at.

The worst part of home is that I can't go eat food.  Good news: tomorrow I get lots of food. Lots of yummy, no judging because it's Thanksgiving food.

Torture would hurt, man. Like, burning and fire and shit, and beating, and, eyes, ew, eyes.

I love Assassins Creed almost as much as I love Portal. I really love Portal. I AM SO STUCK IN PORTAL BECAUSE I AM AFRAID OF THE TURRETS. ANDROID HELL IS A REAL PLACE. THEY JUST KEEP SHOOTING ME AND IT'S SO SCARY.

I Am Packing

I do not understand weather so I don't know how to pack for Michigan. I am bad at things.

Also, technically I'm only packing if you count cutting up a mango, making a sandwich, opening my suitcase and then sitting down to eat the sandwich and blog about packing as packing.

The suitcase is just sitting there empty. It's mocking me, the Bijerk.

I can not think seriously about packing. I'm just sitting here like, I should pack in theme. All red. All Batman. All Doctor Who. All purple. I should only wear black the whole time. I should pretend to be goth. I should never take my sunglasses off ever. I should carry around my Batman plushie and talk to it and see how soon people seriously discuss sending me to a mental institution. I should bring a pad of sticky notes and label stuff randomly good or bad and tell them I'm just sorting for bad nuts. I should only communicate via flashcards I could print out of various emotions from pictures on the internet. I SHOULD PACK ALL THE SHIRTS I HAVE. No but seriously, I should pack all red.

My head hurts. Can I drink Dr. Pepper?

I can't type this paper anymore so I printed out pages with words and then I'm writing more words and then I'm going, huh, words, Dr. Pepper? Bunny Grahams? I have not yet gone out there to get these things, but I am willing them to come to me.

They are not here yet, my magic and willpower is rusty I guess.

 

I don't always tweet about Batman, but when I do it makes me wonder what I was doing that day.

I was in Florida in February. And April.

I don't remember watching a lot of Batman while in Florida. I remember making that Batman Magnet video, also buying that Robin figure, but I don't remember why I was talking about Batman a lot on April Fool's Day.

(2) Possession of burglar's tools is a Class IV felony.

Do you know why I have that bookmarked? It was from over a year ago, when I was doing research on whether or not I could legally purchase lock picks. Apparently I felt it was important enough to bookmark, you know, in case I questioned the legality of my acts later? I don't know.

Supernatural is the most stressful

I'm trying to watch it, and I just can't even. Why is there things why why why?

I don't even want to watch this. Why do they do things.

Also, Fringe did not air because of the stupid World Series or whatever.

My internet is weird here, like it's all, fine, and then weak, and then Supernatural lags and then I weep into my hair.
