Day Whatever

I forgot what day it was. Did I write yesterday? I could look on the front page of this blog, sure, but now I'm already writing so you're just going to have to deal with my confusion. Parents are coming home today anyway so it doesn't matter anymore.

I've been watching a lot of Dragnet and Animaniacs. Can't bring myself to start the new season of Perception or catch up on any of the current shows that I know I like, but Sgt. Friday and Officer Gannon are great and I want to watch this all the time. Would you believe, there's even an episode of Supernatural that I haven't seen?

I've been running around the house trying to make sure everything is done and nice for when my mom comes home. What's going to happen is I'm going to think everything is done and then she's going to ask an innocent question about something I was supposed to do but forgot about. I can see it now. Eh, I can blame everything on the fact they left me with a broken dishwasher full of dishes.

Ok ok ok, so, I have 2 NaNoWriMos started and abandoned because, hey, procrastinator, but I had a thought about one of them so I can improve and add to it, but seriously, I'll never be able to write a book in a month. November can suck it.

SHERLOCK GNOMES.

And by that I mean, 1 gnomes, and 2 the trailer for season three of Sherlock is out.

Oh oh oh you know what show is the best though? The Waltons. They have a peacock named Rover and a peahen named Ruby and they're just a great family. CHRISTINE you might like it don't even. They're all bros and they help each other out all the time.

Robin Year One: a comic book interpreted by me

This is my finished Robin Year One paper art project thing. I never had a good name for it, but It looks awesome in real life with all the layers, and it totally tells the story of their worries and Robin almost dying and it's pretty great.

I found as I was doing it that I had as much fun with the pieces I cut out as I did the parts I left in. It started small.

I mean, this guy's face is just amazing, so when I added the BLAM!s to his panel it was instantly better. Then I got more creative with the putting pieces together.

I honestly don't know, but it makes me laugh.

And then finally, I started making entire pages.

Ok so they don't all make a ton of sense

I particularly like the frame with the Darjeeling Tea

And that's how my day has been going so far, you know, once I came inside from being the outdoor person I am / am forced to be when things need painting and stuff.

Day 4

Ok so it might be 4 am or whatever but I was watching lame tv and cutting up a comic book.

Cold Case has odd songs play at the end for the sad wrap up and re-reveal of what the people looked like when the crime actually happened. Currently: Man in the Mirror.

At this point I think I've forgotten how to go to bed. You know how it gets so late that you consider being awake instead. oooo Angel is on. It's the strange time period though.

Day 3

First of all, why is my dog bugging me? I fed her hours ago and she won't go outside and I told her, the parents are coming back next week, Jeez.

I'm watching Top Gear. I meant to leave the house today and get some things done so I could cross them off my list, but I stayed home, watched some YouTube, talked to my dog, drank a bottle of wine.

Tomorrow it won't be raining so I will totally leave the house and get things done. It didn't help that I slipped on the wet steps and hurt my tailbone first thing today. Yeah, tomorrow, painting, shopping, mowing, getting shit done.

I totally did things today too though, started on the dishes in the broken dishwasher. There isn't enough room in the dish drainer for all of them so I still have some to do, but hey I have plates now.

Day 2

I'm quite upset I have to wait a whole week before shark week. Sure, yeah, there are other things to watch, but sharks man.

also, cloudy night, not so many stars, I am disappoint

27 July 2013

Day 1

I am out of gin.

*edit later

When I was recycling the bottle I offered my dog some gin and laughed maniacally because she couldn't have any because it was gone.

I am not drunk I swear.

The stars are fucking lovely.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to sleep with the My Little Pony song stuck in your head?

MY LITTLE PONY

I USED TO WONDER WHAT FRIENDSHIP COULD BEEEE

MY LITTLE PONY

UNTIL YOU ALL SHARED IT'S MAGIC WITH ME

Yes, I am still awake. No, I don't really want to be. Yes, my parents are coming home today. No, the house is not in impeccable shape.

22 March 2012

Remember that picture of a goat on a mountain side

Where it's just captioned OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD

edit: (found it)

Remember that?

That is me.

My lungs hurt. I would say my stomach, but my stomach is not on both sides of my ribcage separated by an area that is impervious to pain. MY LUNGS HAVE A STOMACH ACHE. I don't understand.

IS IT THURSDAY ALREADY? OH GOD.

I stopped watching the show Grimm earlier this year because it was really dark and not interesting enough, but then I decided, why the hell not, so now I'm watching again. I love how Nick hides his friendship with Monroe and it's like he's covering up an affair but really they just aren't supposed to know each other. They even have scenes where Nick's on the phone and you assume the conversation was with his girlfriend, but then it cuts to him eating dinner with Monroe and it's so great and none of this makes any sense. Sure, every once in awhile there's something really gross that makes me hide all the tabs so I don't have to look at the grossocity of it all, but small price to pay. At least I haven't made the classic Fringe/Bones mistake of eating while watching it.

19 March 2012

The more I have to do, the less I want to do

And then I feel like a horrible person that doesn't do anything, and then I continue to not do anything. And then I feel worse, and do less.

Right now I'm just freaking out about Being Human (UK) because I think next week is the season finale and I'm not ready and I just spent the last hour watching this last episode and going "Hal, baby, no, Hal, oh Hal, don't do it. Hal, don't be an idiot. Hal. Oh Hal." And then weeping dramatically into my pillow.

So maybe I'm a drama queen, what of it?

Apparently this is what I do now. I watch emotionally scarring things and then feel empty inside and then watch some more traumatising things and then weep forever and then watch Pride & Prejudice. Pride & Prejudice always seems to be involved. For awhile there it was Secondhand Lions, but then it went back to Pride & Prejudice. There was also an Inception period, and a Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy period. Not to mention the Batman Era. Thing about the Batman Era, it was both the emotionally scarring thing and the post emotionally scarring thing, so it isn't exactly the same as the Benedict Cumberbatch All The Sads leading to Pride & Prejudice.

AND NOW I'VE GONE AND WATCHED INSEPARABLE AGAIN, JERKS. I don't know who I'm blaming. Blame my parents, they left me here.

Day 7: I have forgotten to go to bed

It is now early morning, so Lucky is asking me for breakfast. I haven't gone to bed yet and my dog wants breakfast.

I am super excited for Spy Kids 4.

Selena Gomez is my idol.

David Boreanez does not age, therefore he is actually a vampire and was not acting in Angel.

Sarah, what if I do this next semester. What if I just don't go to bed until you get up for band and tell me I have to go to bed. What if I die because I am an incompetent adult.

I ate all my nutella. With a spoon. I need more nutella. I'm going to the store to buy milk tomorrow. Maybe I'll buy some nutella. My parents will reimburse me for that, right? They are reimbursing the milk because I'm buying them the milk because they'll get in super late and will want milk for breakfast and such. Nutella was just something I need. Robin is amazing.

Day 5: I do not appreciate clouds, they hide the stars.

Today was obviously very philosophic.

Day 5: I have made a breakthrough

CAN YOU IMAGINE FIRE SHARKS?

I actually just downloaded that paint program just to make the space shark picture, so now I'm going to use it WHENEVER I CAN.

I have learned so much about sharks because Shark Week is intense. Sarah has learned some about sharks I'm sure because I yell at her about sharks a lot.

I do care about sharks, alot
I think my mother doesn't believe I have done things. I totally have done things. I even remembered to take the trash out Monday night AND I remembered to bring the trashcan back up when I went to get the mail Tuesday. RIGHT?

Oh man, I am a terrible adult. (About that sentence, shouldn't it be AN terrible adult because the "an" is for the word "adult"? Because that sounds so wrong. An terrible adult. People say an hour, even though the h is not a vowel.)

There is a commercial that tells me that it is always morning somewhere. They're a cereal commercial, but they're also promoting eating food at all times of night.

02 August 2011

DAY 4: I LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL

FOR EVERY DROP OF WATER YOU SAVE, A CHILD LEARNS TO READ, AND AN ALIEN INVASION IS POSTPONED. BUT FOR EVERY DROP OF WATER YOU WASTE, A MONKEY CAN NO LONGER TASTE BANANAS, AND AN ANIMAL CRACKER GOES EXTINCT.

ARE THESE FACTS TRUE, I DON'T KNOW. SOMETHING SOMETHING HUNTS IRRIGATION.

Day 4: It's past midnight.

Commercials are my friends. Some of them make me happy, some of them annoy the hell out of me, some of them are super hilarious, some make me weep, but I've missed them because I haven't watched television with commercials in so freaking long.

I found Hercules tonight. The constellation. I found it. I know where Hercules is. I couldn't find the little dipper, which is apparently at his feet, or the big dipper, which is below the little dipper, but I definitely know where Hercules is.

The sky is really big.

Sharks are addicting. SHARK WEEK. Sarah keeps telling me I need to stop watching sharks, but they're just so iNTERESTING. also a bit misunderstood. Sure the blood and gore and maimed people is tragic, but the sharks didn't mean to hurt the people, it just wanted to know what they were. "Is that a seal? I don't know. It doesn't look like a seal. Is it a threat? Maybe it's food." *mini bite* "Nope." *leaves human alone*

There was a group of divers that fed a shark and trained it and stuff, but that made the shark associate humans with food. The divers held a dead fish or chunk of fish out from their bodies in their hands, the shark swam by and took it from their hands, and the divers would reach behind them into their pack, like a reverse fanny pack, and get another piece of fish. Then the sharks thought that whenever a human held out their arms away from them that meant food, so they bit people's arms off, and then when there wasn't a fish there they would bite their buttocks off because that's where the divers got the fish pieces from. STUPID DIVERS TRAINING SHARKS.

I honestly forgot it was Monday today. I got like 5 hours of sleep last night. Lucky is afraid of the dark.

The ocean is like space, but with sharks. CAN YOU IMAGINE SPACE SHARKS. OH MY GOD.
I'M A SPACE SHAAAAAARK
Why am I not an art major. I have talent overflowing here.

Hey hey, shark week is educational. The oceans have magnetic fields. Sharks navigate by those. They were totally creating a shark repulsion system using magnets in Australia. TYING DIFFERENT SHARK SHOWS TOGETHER LIKE A BOSS.

Day 3: I have gone off the deep end

I have been laughing at this for a good ten minutes.

It's like Dole Whip, but NOT.
